As more and more of modern life and aspects of the economy become database based and internet native, it makes sense to develop an efficient and global digital backbone. Currently, these databases are owned and managed by centralized parties across the globe, which not only cannot always be trusted, but also fail to co-operate efficiently, and are not globally accessible.

Blockchain technology’s biggest strength is the ability to provide trust instantly, at near zero costs, disrupting the industry of verification. Using the blockchain, anyone from around the globe is able to carry out economic activity without trusting or even knowing their counterparty. Blockchains are the foundation of digital economic activity, just as the internet is the foundation of digital communication. Owned by no one, accessible to anyone.
